一、板式家具

板式家具是以人造板为主要基材、以板件为基本结构的拆装组合式家具。所用人造板有刨花板、中纤板、禾香板、胶合板，细木工板等。

板式家具是全部经表面装饰的人造板材加五金件连接而成的家具，具有可拆卸、造型富于变化、外观时尚、不易变形、质量稳定、价格实惠等基本特征。因为基材打破了木材原有的物理结构，所以在温、湿度变化较大的时候，人造板的形变要比实木好得多，质量要比实木家具的质量稳定。

二、实木家具

实木家具是指使用实木制作的家具。一般实木家具会分成纯实木家具和仿实木家具两种

纯实木家具：家具的所有用料都是实木，包括桌面、衣柜的门板、侧板等均采用实木制成，不使用其他任何形式的人造板。纯实木家具对工艺及材质要求很高。实木的选材、烘干、指接、拼缝等要求都很严格，如果哪一道工序把关不严，小则出现开裂、接合处松动等现象，大则整套家具变形，以至无法使用。

仿造实木家具：所谓仿造实木家具，从外观上看是实木家具，木材的自然纹理、手感及色泽都和实木家具一模一样，但实际上是实木和人造板混用的家具，即侧板顶、底、搁板等部件用薄木贴面的刨花板或中密度板纤维板。门和抽屉则采用实木。这种工艺节约了木材，也降低了成本。

实木家具最主要的缺点就是易变形，保养起来较困难。比如不能让阳光直接照射，不能过冷过热，过于干燥和潮湿的环境对实木家具都不适宜；如果在使用时没有注意，频繁开关空调造成温湿度变化过大，即使是合格的实木家具产品有时也会发生变形、开裂的现象，可以说无论采用什么木材，做工如何考究，都很难避免这些问题。

三、究竟选板木家具还是实木家具

小户型比较适合使用现代简约型家具，板式家具精巧的造型、简约时尚的表现、简单利落的线条、活泼明丽的色彩，符合人体工程学的结构，尤其是价格实惠，在家具市场上这类产品对工薪阶层仍会有很大的吸引力。

实木家具天然、环保、健康、大气，但易变形难保养，适合户型较大且资金较充裕的消费者。

The main disadvantage of solid wood furniture is that it is easy to deform and difficult to maintain.
